Bionic Hill Master Development Plan

The Hornberger + Worstell-lead multi-disciplinary planning team was commissioned to prepare a Master Development Plan for the reuse of a former Soviet Munitions Base in Kyiv to create a Sustainable New Town - “The Silicon Valley of Ukraine.”

Bionic Hill seeks to capture significant regional growth and development demands for “live, work, play and learn” by creating a community of 15,000 residents and 30,000 employees within a high-tech-focused mixed-use, self-sustaining community with lasting quality of life within the City of Kyiv - an integrated mix of Housing with Schools, Aquatics Center and Recreational Facilities; Commercial Office; R&D Incubator and Manufacturing Facilities; Hotel and Conference Center; Transit Center; University Extension Campus;  and Sustainable Infrastructure.

The base conversion is envisioned as a Charter City – an international platform shaped by “best practices” where international visitors engage in a creative environment and feel inspired and at home.
