California International Trade Center

Hornberger + Worstell worked in partnership with the development team to conceive, program and design a center dedicated to enhancing and facilitating international trade, commerce and finance between the State of California and Pacific Rim countries.

The urban design creates an integrated mixed-use complex at the confluence of Highways 5 and 50, the Sacramento River and downtown Sacramento.  The project components include a 40-story, 850,000 square foot International Trade Tower; a 1.2 million square foot International Exhibition Center; a 550-guestroom Hotel and 90-unit Branded Residences Tower; an International Trade and Finance Academic Institute; International Shipping Center; Setzer Discovery Center; Cultural Theater and Amphitheater; and other amenities.

In addition to project visioning, programming and urban and architectural design, Hornberger + Worstell assembled a pre-development consultant team that produced a Preliminary Project Schedule, Preliminary Project Proforma and Project Construction Cost Summary, to craft an overall Project Development Strategy.
