The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, has completed an extensive two-year renovation, unveiling a series of significant upgrades at the renowned luxury resort.
The renovation of the AAA Five Diamond property, located on north of Lake Tahoe, includes a full redesign of the Living Room Lodge — formerly known as the Living Room — and a complete overhaul of the resort’s 170 guest rooms and suites.
The updated accommodations now feature earthy tones, natural textures and large panoramic windows.
“We’re thrilled to welcome new and returning guests to a new era of the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe,” Colin Perry, the resort’s general manager, said in a statement. “Inspired by the natural beauty of the Sierra, this transformation not only enhances the stay experience but also deepens the connection between our guests and this marvelous land through purposeful design that reflects our magnificent surroundings.”
In addition to the redesign, the resort introduced several new dining options, including Manzanita, which highlights a menu focused on locally sourced ingredients.
New amenities include two Topgolf Swing Suites, a renovated fitness center and an upscale Alpine Exchange boutique.
The property, originally opened in 2006, has also expanded its outdoor offerings with new private fire pits, cabanas and a dedicated lakeside area at the Lake Club, providing direct access to Lake Tahoe.
The hotel itself is located in Truckee, within the Northstar ski area hills, approximately nine miles from the beach, accessible via Highway 267.
